Global day of Prayer May 27th 2012- Event Report

Dear brothers & sisters,

The Global Day of prayer 2012 was held on May 27th in the city of Nazareth at the Golden Crown Hotel HOPE - House Of Prayer & Exploits & the Evangelical Convention of Israel conducted this strategic gathering. Arab and Jewish believers as well as foreigners from all over the Holy Land  came to attend the day.The meeting was opened by brother Saleem Hanna who welcomed the crowd then called the Lord is my Banner team led by the Rev. Khalid Dalleh to the lead the worship.

Many local churches were represented in this meeting and hundreds of believers Arabs & Jews attended the event.

Believers from across Israel joined together in worship and prayer, celebrating their common love of the Messiah in three languages, Arabic, Hebrew and English.

GDOP 2012


The Global Day of prayer 2012 was held on Pentecost (Shavout) May 27th in the city of Nazareth at the Golden Crown Hotel under the auspices of HOPE - House Of Prayer & Exploits and the Evangelical convention of the churches in Israel. Arab and Jewish believers as well as foreigners from all over the Holy Land  came to attend the day.The meeting was opened by brother Saleem Hanna who welcomed the crowd then called the worship team from Adoni Roi lead worship in Hebrew.

Pastor Avi Mezrachi shared a short word following the Hebrew worship from Judges Chapter 7-8. Where he encouraged the God's people to stand firm as we have a great God, As in the days of Gideon where he had only 300 people in his army, he won the battle against his enemies. He finished his sharing by welcoming the King of Kings Jesus to Israel to this place by declaring Psalm 24.

Psa 24:9-10  Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory! Selah

Afterwards "Lord is my Banner" worship team led by the Rev. Khalid Dalleh lead a powerful time of praise in Arabic. Brother Rajai Samawi, pastor of the Nazareth Illite Baptist Church, shared from the word God beginning to read from book of Revelation 1:2-6, highlighting the message of returning to our first love and preparing our hearts for repentance, giving the challenge for the returning to the foundation of the book of Acts by giving the Holy Spirit the full control and follow Him. After this time of sharing Ps. Khalid lead with the worship team a time of personal repentance and returning to our first love and intimacy with God.

Pastors Edward Tannous and Avi Mizrachi prayed and repented on behalf of the people on the subject of bloodshed, focusing specifically on the subject of abortion.

Pastor Tannous spoke as a representative of the Arabic churches and he requested forgiveness of the Jewish believers. Pastor Mizrachi spoke on behalf of the Jewish churches and asked the same of the Arabic believers about how the Jewish people treated the Arabs lower than them.

Arab and Jewish believers then paired off into groups and prayed for one another. Brother Ibrahim Sadran and Jacob Denlinsky Ps. from Nazareth Ilite lead prayer for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit over our land and lives. Arabs & Jews stood uniting together for the outpouring of the Spirit, many were touched by the Lord and refilled with the Holy Spirit. The Lord's presence was so clear as the cry of the thirsty reached to heaven.

Following this time of prayer for the Holy Spirit, a call to the young generation for the fathers blessing was special time, where both Arab & Jewish girls lead prayers on behalf of their generation, blessing them and asking the Lord to release this generation for the fullness of what God has for them. Both Eman Hanna & Deborah Mezrachi lead prayers for both the Arab & Jewish youth.

Leaders from both groups also gathered to pray for different subjects afterwards where sister Rania lead prayer for God to awaken the bride of Christ in Israel and keep her watchful with oil of the Holy Spirit in her lamps. Isa 60 and Mat 25 where the focus of this part in prayer. Brother Saleem lead prayer for government of Israel asking the Lord for wisdom for those in authority and for righteous leaders to be raised up in the land of Israel.

At the end of the time of prayer, everyone participated in the Lord's Supper, led by Pastor Ehab Ashkar.
